Green Century Safari – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with Green Century Safari (“the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By confirming a booking, the client (“you,” “your,” “the traveler,” or “the client”) agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Booking & Reservations

1.1 A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a completed booking form (where applicable) and the required deposit or full payment.
1.2 The Company reserves the right to decline any booking at its discretion.
1.3 All reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking.

2. Payments

2.1 A deposit of 30–40% of the total tour cost is required to secure a booking.
2.2 The balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the commencement of the safari/tour.
2.3 Bookings made within 60 days of departure must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
2.4 Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as communicated by the Company. Bank charges are the responsibility of the client.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

3.1 Cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by the Company.
3.2 The following cancellation charges will apply:

  • More than 60 days before departure: loss of deposit only

  • 59–30 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost

  • Less than 30 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost
    3.3 No refunds will be given for no-shows, unused services, or portions of the itinerary not utilized.
    3.4 Refunds (where applicable) will be made less bank charges and administrative fees.

4. Alterations & Amendments

4.1 The Company reserves the right to make changes to itineraries, accommodation, transport, or other services where necessary due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., weather, road conditions, park regulations, safety considerations).
4.2 If such changes significantly alter the nature of the tour, the Company will notify the client as soon as possible and provide suitable alternatives where available.

5. Travel Documents & Insurance

5.1 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have valid passports, visas, health certificates, vaccination records, and any other required travel documentation.
5.2 Clients are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, personal accident, trip cancellation, curtailment, loss of luggage, and personal liability.
5.3 The Company will not be held liable for costs incurred due to failure to obtain valid travel documents or adequate insurance coverage.

6. Health & Safety

6.1 Safaris and tours may involve risks, including exposure to wildlife, rough terrain, and unpredictable natural conditions.
6.2 Clients participate at their own risk and must inform the Company of any pre-existing medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or mobility limitations.
6.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse participation if a client’s health or behavior poses a risk to themselves, others, or the success of the safari.

7. Liability & Responsibility

7.1 While every care is taken to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients, Green Century Safari acts only as an agent in booking transportation, accommodation, and other services.
7.2 The Company is not liable for injury, illness, damage, loss, delay, or irregularity caused by third-party providers, natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, civil disturbances, accidents, or other events beyond its control.
7.3 Clients are responsible for their own property, behavior, and compliance with local laws and park regulations.

8. Wildlife Viewing

8.1 Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed as they are dependent on natural movements and conditions.
8.2 Our guides will make every effort to maximize viewing opportunities while ensuring safety and adherence to park rules.

9. Complaints

9.1 Any complaints should be reported immediately to the safari guide or Company representative for resolution.
9.2 If not resolved during the trip, complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of return for consideration.

10. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be held liable for failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, terrorism, epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters, or government restrictions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Tanzania (or relevant jurisdiction where the booking is made). Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.

12. Acceptance of Terms

By confirming a booking and making payment, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
