Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Moshi
Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport. Transfer to hotel in Moshi for climb briefing, gear check, and dinner. Overnight stay included. Prepare for Umbwe Route adventure starting tomorrow morning.
Day 2: Umbwe Gate – Umbwe Cave Camp
Begin trek from Umbwe Gate through steep rainforest trails. Picnic lunch during hike. Arrive at Umbwe Cave Camp. Dinner and overnight stay surrounded by dense forest atmosphere.
Day 3: Umbwe Cave – Barranco Camp
Climb steep ridge into moorland zone. Amazing views of valleys below. Picnic lunch included. Continue trek to Barranco Camp. Dinner and overnight stay beneath towering glaciers.
Day 4: Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
Climb Barranco Wall with breathtaking views. Picnic lunch midway. Gentle trek across ridges and valleys. Arrive Karanga Camp. Dinner and overnight stay. Rest before higher altitude.
Day 5: Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp
Trek steadily toward Barafu Camp through alpine desert. Picnic lunch en route. Arrive and rest for summit night. Dinner and overnight stay. Prepare for midnight climb.
Day 6: Summit Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp
Midnight summit push via Stella Point to Uhuru Peak. Watch sunrise at Africa’s roof. Descend to Barafu, then Mweka Camp. Dinner and overnight stay after celebration.
